Because we are human, living in a world of sin and turmoil. We should acknowledge the truth in all that we are and all that we do. We may not be where we were. But we're not where we gotta get, yet.
Every day we live. We need vaccination from this world's contamination. Being inflicted with sin we need that cure in order to be pure. Daily injection of Christ is the only thing that will make us whole. Renew our mind, cleanse our heart and save our soul.
As I opened my eyes this morning. The rest of me had to catch up to actually see the day dawning. Just to experience the free choice and will, I've been blessed to receive with the love and care I've been given to give, is a cause to pause and give recognition with praise to the creator of all. Though some days I forget. And some days seem rushed and somewhat chaotic. I know when my focus is God. There is no stress or chaos about it.
All that I do and all that I am. I pray it be based on what the Father commands. Because he is the one, I must call on, time and time again. He opens the door when you feel locked out and can't go in anymore. He opens the window of our heart so were not overwhelmed with despair. He breathes in new life and fresh air. Cleansing our soul and renewing our mind. So we can keep up and are not left behind.
I must say, it’s not surprising, how we easily get caught up in ourselves and the cares of this world. We forget our purpose, what were made of, and what we’re here for. Just like the people of Israel in the bible days. We have the same ways. Our God is the one we should be caught up in. Because he is the one that brings deliverance. We all need to get up with our very first love. The omnipotent one. Our creator and maker.
A good place to begin is in the realm of humility. Where we humble ourselves through confession. Realizing we're no better than the next one. Taking spiritual medicine to cure the disease of a spirit in need, may have a requirement to go in to the deep. Far beyond physical necessities. Leaving behind such things as pride or the ego boost that cause you to get loose. And we all know anything loose will eventually fall. So instead of just hanging. Tighten up what's loose and let God do a work in you.
Now ye are cleansed through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing. John 15: 3-5
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that rare in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Colossians 1:15-17
Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6: 11
And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9: 23
For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? Luke 9: 25
By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life. Proverbs 22: 4
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him. Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2: 6-8
And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and
Aaron in the wilderness: And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. Exodus 16: 2-3
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1John 1: 9-10
