Sometime we can be captivated by time. Replaying events in our mind. Because of the joy of the memory or trying to understand the reason. We carry loads of emotions some of which may not be pleasing. Either way it can be a contributor to our perspective or the action we take today or the delay.
Remember the memories we keep, are based on its significance and the fuel that we feed it. Whether it's good or bad, it's a thing of the past and the things of God is all that will last. Memories that are unpleasant or intoxicating, may have need of release and there may be a need to replace those seeds.
Within the realms of the present is where your time should be spent instead of dwelling on a past you wish never happened. So when your mind takes you back, realize today is not like that. The sun in this day has just began and the next few minutes has not even come. What is done is done, and tomorrow is seen by no one.
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: James 4: 13; Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24: 35
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. Corinthians 13: 8
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24: 35
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Isaiah 43: 18
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Philippians 3: 13
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6: 34
